PGCIL Recruitment for AET: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in relevant subject from recognized University/ Institute Minimum 60 % or Equivalent CGPA.
Candidates should have qualified and secured a valid score in the corresponding paper of GATE 2019. (GATE score of 2018 or prior or GATE 2020 is not valid.)
Age Limit
Upper Age Limit is 28 years as on 31.12.2019 (Candidates should have been born on or after 01.01.1992)
Reservation/ relaxation/ concession shall be as per Government of India directives.

- SC/ST- 5 Years
- PwD candidates – 10 Years
- J&K Domicile / Ex-Servicemen/ Victims of riots- As per Govt. of India directives

PGCIL Recruitment 2020: Selection Procedure
The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the relevant paper of GATE 2019, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
Candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2019.

Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.40,000/- -3%- 140000(IDA) during the one-year training period. They shall be paid a stipend in the form of Basic Pay of Rs. 40,000/- alongwith IDA, HRA and Perks @12% of basic pay during training period.
On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in E2 scale – Rs. 50,000/- 3%- 1, 60,000/- (IDA).
Service Bond
The selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond to successfully complete the prescribed training period and thereafter serve the organization for at least three years. The amount of the bond is INR 5,00,000/- plus applicable taxes for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates and INR 2,50,000/- plus applicable taxes for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

PGCIL Recruitment 2020: How To Apply
- Interested Candidate can Apply Online from POWERGRID website www.powergridindia.com with details of their GATE-2019 registration number and other required information.
- Enter your name and other details exactly as entered in your GATE-2019 score card.
- The primary email ID entered by the candidate is the Login ID and the unique Registration Number generated is the password for logging in to POWERGRID Online application system.
- Pay the Application Fees
- Upload the documents and Photograph.
- Click on Submit button and take the print out of the application form for future reference.

PGCIL Recruitment 2019: Selection Procedure
Only Written Test/Computer Based Test
- The Written Test shall be of Objective type (each question shall have four options) of two hours duration consisting of two parts
- Part-I consists of Technical Knowledge Test/Professional Knowledge Test (TKT/PKT) with 120 questions having specific questions from respective discipline.
- Part-II consists of Aptitude Test (AT) with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency & interpretation, numerical ability etc.
All questions would be MCQ type with 4 options and carry equal weightage (1 mark each).
Wrong & multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼.
