SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019-2020: The Staff Selection Commission has released the short Newspaper notification of Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination for the recruitment of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators. The candidates selected through SSC CHSL 2019 examination will be posted in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India. SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019-20: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification
  • The candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
  • For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Age Limit

Age limit for all the posts is 18-27 years as on 01.01.2020. (i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1993 and not later than 01-01-2002).

SSC CHSL Recruitment: How To Apply Online

The process of filling online application for the examination consists of two parts:  

  1. One-time Registration.
  2. Filling online Application for the Examination.
1. One-time Registration
  1. For first time applicants One-time Registration is required, click on “Register Now‟ link provided in “Login‟ Section on https://ssc.nic.in
  2. You need to fill up of following information:
    • Basic Details
    • Additional Details and Contact Details
    • Uploading of the scanned images of passport size photograph and signature.
  3. You have to complete the Registration Process within 14 days failing which your Registration Details saved so far will be deleted.
  4. Fill the appropriate information about your Category, Nationality, disability (if any), etc.
  5. Upload your recent Photo and Signature and save the information
  6. Upon clicking “Final Submit‟ different OTPs will be sent on your mobile number and Email ID.
SSC CHSC Online Application Form
  1. Login to online system through your “Registration Number‟ and password.
  2. Click on “Apply‟ link in “CHSL 2019‟ Section under “Latest Notifications‟ tab.
  3. Enter the required details like: preference for Examination Centers, preferences for the States/ Uts, highest qualification, age relaxation category, etc.
  4. Complete your declaration by clicking on “I agree” check box and fill up captcha code.
  5. Preview and verify the information and click on “Submit”.
  6. Make fee payment if you are not exempted from payment of fee.
  7. Download your SSC CHSL Application Form and take printouts for future reference.

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019: Selection Procedure

SSC CHSL Selection process will be purely on merit basis. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their Performances in Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Skill Test/ Typing Test (Tier-III).

Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in “Pen and Paper‟ Mode. The duration of the Descriptive Paper would be for one hour

  • The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent.

Skill Test/ Typing Test will be of qualifying nature.
The candidates who qualify Tier-III will be called for Document Verification
